Today is a big day for Seo Árainn Mhór - the community app for Árainn Mhór is getting its own AI assistant, and for the first time, people can interact with it live. This is a beta launch. We're putting it out into the world to learn how people use it, what questions they ask, and where it needs to improve. The AI can help with discovering what's happening on the island, finding local businesses and services, checking events, and getting general information about Árainn Mhór. It pulls from the same data that powers the Seo Árainn Mhór app, so everything it shares is real and up to date.

Join us this Friday evening for an informal get together for remote workers to explore our upcoming mentoring initiative to help community members find remote employment. A brand new app called gúrú has been developed by the island community which will link experts in remote employment with those looking for their next opportunity. This will involve a live gúrú demo and a feedback session for everyone in the local community to get involved in the process. The event is part of a nationwide programme of Grow Remote events on Culture Night in partnership with We Act, the national campaign for charities and communities groups in Ireland. Venue: MODAM hub, Arranmore Island Time: 18:00 - 19:00

We're launching the Seo Árainn Mhór app on the 17th June! We can't wait to share it with everyone - in the last couple of months we've seen so many updates to the app from all the local businesses - we think we've built something really special. We hope to see lots of people at the launch at 4pm in the Cultúrlann Caife an Ghabhann where we'll have the official launch.
